ACTION ALERT – Calls and letters are working – but more must be done!
A week ago, we asked you to contact your legislators regarding the devastating effects of SB 5410. Today we are pleased to say that your calls and letters are working! Thank you to everyone who took the time to write to the Senate Education Committee!
Our state lawmakers are re-thinking the provisions of SB 5410 that would have been most harmful to the education your children are receiving. However, new language has not been made available so we remain concerned. Please take the time today to contact your legislators again. We need to keep the pressure on the legislators on legislators regarding the negative impacts of SB 5410 as originally drafted. Visit our Action Center to write a letter urging them to work with our schools to make sure we can have greater access to quality on-line programs and courses without increased cost and regulation.
We also need your help in spreading the word to other online learning families. Please contact your friends who are also involved in on-line learning about SB 5410 and encourage them to go to our web site and contact their legislators, as well. This can be with WAVA families or any of the other online schools that are available in Washington State. Also encourage them to sign up to receive our alerts so they can stay apprised of what's happening! We need your help in spreading the word!
Thank you for your help. Together we will make our voice stronger!
Thank You,
