Friday's News
Your calls and letters did the job. Funding for online public schools was restored in the House budget. The amendment sponsored by Rep. Pat Sullivan passed unanimously. Ways & Means Committee will continue to meet all day Saturday. We should have more news late Saturday or early Sunday.
Meanwhile, have you sent in your story and photo? Thank you to the 50 families who have made the time to send their story to http://waonlinefamilies.org/stories/
Thousands of our families enroll their children in an online public school program. Wouldn't it send an incredibly powerful, positive message to have a collection of stories with one from each family? Why is online learning a good fit for your child? Most legislators have never even imagined an online student doing a science experiment, going with fellow students on a field trip, doing messy art projects or seen the special place where you do your school work. Please keep those stories and photos coming. They can be shared with lawmakers and budget writers both now and in the future. http://waonlinefamilies.org/stories/
Hopefully more good news tomorrow.
